Nescopeck is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,528 at the 2000 census.
Nescopeck is located at 41°3′9″N 76°12′57″W / 41.0525°N 76.21583°W / 41.0525; -76.21583 (41.052379, -76.215871).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,528 people, 672 households, and 417 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,534.8 people per square mile (590.0/km²). There were 729 housing units at an average density of 732.3 per square mile (281.5/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 98.23% White, 0.52% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.33% from other races, and 0.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.24% of the population.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
