Myrtlewood is a town in Marengo County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 139.
Myrtlewood is located at 32°14′50″N 87°56′50″W / 32.24722°N 87.94722°W / 32.24722; -87.94722 (32.247254, -87.947141).
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.6 square miles (6.7 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 139 people, 59 households, and 45 families residing in the town. The population density was 53.6 people per square mile (20.7/km²). There were 76 housing units at an average density of 29.3 per square mile (11.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 79.14% White and 20.86% Black or African American. 0.72% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 59 households out of which 22.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.0% were married couples living together, 10.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.7% were non-families. 23.7% of all households were made up…

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
