Mesa ( /ˈmɛsə/ mes-ə) is a city in Maricopa County, in the U.S. state of Arizona and is a suburb located about 20 miles (32 km) east of Phoenix. Mesa is in the East Valley section of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. It is bordered by Tempe on the west, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on the north, Chandler and Gilbert on the south, and Apache Junction on the east. As of the 2010 Census Mesa became Arizona’s center of population.
Mesa is the third-largest city in Arizona, after Phoenix and Tucson, the 38th-largest city and largest suburb in the US. Despite being home to 439,041 as of 2010, reported by the Census Bureau, making its population larger than more recognizable cities such as Atlanta, Miami, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Cleveland, Mesa is decidedly a bedroom community. Mesa is home to the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University.

Learn Skateboarding in a Two Week-Long Class

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Mesa skate park.

    Who we Serve:

  • Ages: 4 through 104
  • Ability: Beginner through Competition-Style Advanced.

    Born and raised in Portland Oregon, Quinn started skating in one of skateboarding’s capitals at the age of 9. 12 years later, at the age of 21, living in Tempe while completing his final year at ASU, he loves it more than ever. Quinn believes that skateboarding is an art form, much like traditional martial arts. Once a skateboarder masters the basics, they can begin to express themselves through small intentional movements, a style unique to them. A new world opens up for them, culturally, as well as how they see architecture and the environment around them. Skateboarding has played a huge role in Quinn’s life, and it has shaped him into the person he is today.
