Manzanola is a Statutory Town in Otero County, Colorado, United States. The population was 525 at the 2000 census.
Manzanola is located at 38°6′33″N 103°52′4″W / 38.10917°N 103.86778°W / 38.10917; -103.86778 (38.109096, -103.867739).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.78 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 525 people, 189 households, and 120 families residing in the town. The population density was 2,018.2 people per square mile (779.6/km²). There were 209 housing units at an average density of 803.4 per square mile (310.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 74.48% White, 0.57% African American, 1.14% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 20.76% from other races, and 2.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 45.14% of the population.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Learn all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Manzanola skate park.
