Malibu, CA is an American teen sitcom produced by Saved by the Bell creator Peter Engel and directed by Gary Shimokawa between 1998 and 2000 on syndication. The show was the epitome of a stereotypical California lifestyle.
Famous guest appearances include Dennis Haskins, who had previously worked with Peter Engel for several years on Saved by the Bell, Scott Whyte & Marissa Dyan from City Guys, Daniella Deutscher from Hang Time and model Victoria Silvstedt.
It was one of two post-Saved by the Bell: The College Years series executive produced by Peter Engel that did not not air on NBC’s TNBC lineup, USA High being the other.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Malibu skate park.
