Mahomet ( /məˈhɒmɨt/) is a village in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. The population was 7,258 at the 2010 census. Mahomet is located approximately ten miles west of Champaign at the junction of Interstate 74 and IL 47.
Mahomet is located at 40°11′33″N 88°24′8″W / 40.1925°N 88.40222°W / 40.1925; -88.40222 (40.192384, -88.402115).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has an area of 17.7 km² land and none of it is covered by water, although satellite photos shows lakes and Sangamon River.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,877 people, 1,654 households, and 1,374 families residing in the village. This figure does not include surrounding subdivisions which would almost double the population. The population density was 711.6 people per square mile (274.9/km²). There were 1,700 housing units at an average density of 248.0 per square mile (95.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.18% White, 0.14% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.59%…

Learn all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
