Kirbyville is a city in Jasper County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,085 at the 2000 census.
Kirbyville is located at 30°39′33″N 93°53′49″W / 30.65917°N 93.89694°W / 30.65917; -93.89694 (30.659203, -93.896852).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.2 km), of which, 2.4 square miles (6.2 km) of it is land and 0.41% is water.
The town was first established in 1895 when the Gulf, Beaumont and Kansas City railroad reached the site. It was first named Kirby for John Henry Kirby, a lumber businessman who intended to use the site for building a facility to market his lumber. The post office was established the same year, but the name was changed to Kirbyville when it was discovered that a town called Kirby already existed.

Understand all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Kirbyville skate park.
