Jemison is a town in Chilton County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 2,248. The center of population of Alabama is located outside of Jemison, an area known as Jemison Division. .
Jemison is located at 32°57’31.792″ North, 86°44’36.841″ West (32.958831, -86.743567).
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 8.1 square miles (21 km), of which, 8.1 square miles (21 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (0.37%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,248 people, 840 households, and 636 families residing in the town. The population density was 276.9 people per square mile (106.9/km²). There were 916 housing units at an average density of 112.8 per square mile (43.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 77.54% White, 19.48% Black or African American, 0.58% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 1.60% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. 2.94% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Jemison skate park.
