Isle of Palms is a city in Charleston County, South Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population on the island was 4,133. Isle of Palms is a barrier island on the South Carolina coast. As defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, and used by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes only, Isle of Palms is included within the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area and the Charleston-North Charleston Urbanized Area
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.6 square miles (15 km). 4.5 square miles (12 km) of it is land (80.56%) and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km) of it (19.44%) is water.
It is the location of the Wild Dunes Resort.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop.   • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Isle Of Palms skate park.
