Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.
The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Learn all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

- Ability: Beginner through Competition-Style Advanced
How to Start:
- Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
- Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Irving skate park.

Free Skateboard Lessons during Go Skate Day
Get ready to shred on Go Skate Day (June 21st) with Free Skateboard Lessons and a Master Class in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area! Join us at Lewisville Skatepark from 5 to 6 pm for an unforgettable skateboarding experience. Led by certified professional skateboarding instructor Jonathan G., these sessions are open to skaters of all ages and skill levels. Keep an eye out for Jonathan sporting his GOSKATE-branded Tee and make sure to gear up with safety equipment!
