Honomū is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hawai‘i County, Hawai‘i, United States. The population was 541 at the 2000 census.
Honomū is located at 19°52′17″N 155°7′1″W / 19.87139°N 155.11694°W / 19.87139; -155.11694 (19.871390, -155.117067).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km), of which, 0.5 square miles (1.3 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (6.12%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 541 people, 193 households, and 143 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,172.8 people per square mile (454.1/km²). There were 213 housing units at an average density of 461.7 per square mile (178.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 23.29% White, 0.74% Native American, 29.94% Asian, 5.18% Pacific Islander, 2.03% from other races, and 38.82% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.20% of the population.

Discover all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Honomu skate park.
