Holcomb is a city in Finney County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 2,094.
Holcomb is known for the murders of four members of the Herbert W. Clutter family, an incident which formed the basis of the Truman Capote book In Cold Blood.
Holcomb is located at 37°59′2″N 100°59′10″W / 37.98389°N 100.98611°W / 37.98389; -100.98611 (37.983934, -100.985996). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,026 people, 592 households, and 515 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,730.1 people per square mile (668.6/km²). There were 608 housing units at an average density of 519.2 per square mile (200.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 80.80% White, 1.09% African American, 0.89% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 13.28% from other races, and 3.65% from mixed race.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Find out all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
