Hillrose is a Statutory Town in Morgan County, Colorado, United States. The population was 254 at the 2000 census.
The town was named after Rose Hill Emerson, daughter of early landholder.
Hillrose is located at 40°19′32″N 103°31′17″W / 40.32556°N 103.52139°W / 40.32556; -103.52139 (40.325591, -103.521475).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 254 people, 93 households, and 69 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,144.3 people per square mile (445.8/km²). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 500.1 per square mile (194.8/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 92.52% White, 1.57% Native American, 0.39% Pacific Islander, 4.33% from other races, and 1.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 16.14% of the population.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Hillrose skate park.
