High Point, in the northwestern part of New Jersey in Montague, Sussex County in the Skylands Region of New Jersey, is the highest elevation in the state at 1,803 feet (550 m). It is southeast of Port Jervis, New York. High Point is the highest peak of the Kittatinny Mountains.
At the peak is the High Point Monument, a 220-foot (67 m) tower, built in 1930 to commemorate the war dead. Three states can be seen from the top: New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
The mountain is in the 14,193 acre (57 km²) High Point State Park. Route 23 skirts the park and carries visitors from the New Jersey suburbs and from points in New York State. The park is administered by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry.
Entrance fees are only charged from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day: $ 5.00 on weekdays and $10.00 on weekends.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

My knowledge of teaching skateboarding started with my little brother, he couldn’t Ollie at first but after months of my day-to-day help, he learned all the basics and was jumping downstairs in no time. I am naturally great at teaching skateboarding, I’ve taught people of all genders and ages. Recently I taught a girl how to drop in on the half pipe at the above board, she had only been skating for a week but can now drop in and is getting better and better each day! I guarantee that I can teach ANYBODY the basics in a short period of time and I also guarantee that I can teach tricks very quickly depending on the person’s physicality.
