Hazel Park is a city in Oakland County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 16,422. Hazel Park was incorporated in 1941 and bills itself as “The Friendly City”.
Hazel Park is the third most densely populated city in Michigan, holding the position under Hamtramck and nearby Royal Oak Township. However, due to the 2004 annexation of a portion of Royal Oak Township into Oak Park, Hazel Park now assumes the position as second highest.
The city has the second largest Native American population in Oakland County, only topped by Keego Harbor.
In October 1882, a group of farmers gathered in a home located at the present-day city hall and had a meeting, requesting for a school to be built. A one-room school was eventually built in 1883 and later expanded to two rooms. In 1884, John W. Benjamine petitioned the state of Michigan to form a school district out of Royal Oak Township. Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Hazel Park skate park.
