Haiku (俳句, haikai verse)  listen (help·info), plural haiku, is a very short form of Japanese poetry typically characterised by three qualities:
Modern Japanese gendai (現代) haiku are increasingly unlikely to follow the tradition of 17 on or to take nature as their subject, but the use of juxtaposition continues to be honoured in both traditional haiku and gendai. There is a common, although relatively recent, perception that the images juxtaposed must be directly observed everyday objects or occurrences.
In Japanese, haiku are traditionally printed in a single vertical line while haiku in English often appear in three lines to parallel the three phrases of Japanese haiku.
Previously called hokku, haiku was given its current name by the Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki at the end of the 19th century.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

    How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Haiku skate park.
