Granton is a village in Clark County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 406 at the 2000 census.
The early history of our area before permanent settlers arrived was one of Indians and the fur trade under the French first, then the English, and finally the U. S. after 1815. The American Fur company dominated the fur trade in its final years. A treaty was made with the Winnebago Indians in 1837 ceding their lands to the U. S. They nominally owned roughly the territory east of the Black River and south of Township 25 (York).
This area does not seem to have been opened to homesteading before the early 1850’s. There were few settlers before 1860. The Town of Lynn was organized on March 21, 1862 but it consisted of what is Fremont, Lynn and Grant. They met at the home of John D. Wage. In 1868 Grant was detached and made a separate town. In 1874 Fremont was created.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the basic principles of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

    How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Granton skate park.
