Gloster is a town in Amite County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,073 at the 2000 census. It is part of the McComb, Mississippi Micropolitan Statistical Area.
T. T. Martin, an evangelist and one of the most prominent figures in the anti-evolution movement in the 1920s, is buried in Gloster.
Gloster is located at 31°11′49″N 91°1′9″W / 31.19694°N 91.01917°W / 31.19694; -91.01917 (31.196878, -91.019272).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.7 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 324 people, 223 households, and 114 families residing in the town. The population density was 588.4 people per square mile (227.6/km²). There were 481 housing units at an average density of 263.8 per square mile (102.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 54.99% African American, 44.18% White, 0.56% from other races, and 0.28% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.77% of the population….

Learn all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Gloster skate park.
