Franktown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Douglas County, Colorado, in the United States. The population was 395 at the 2010 census. The Franktown Post Office has the ZIP Code 80116. Pike’s Peak Grange No. 163 in Franktown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Franktown is located at 39°23′25″N 104°45′14″W / 39.39028°N 104.75389°W / 39.39028; -104.75389 (39.390378, -104.753961).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 99 people, 38 households, and 29 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 116.8 people per square mile (45.0/km²). There were 38 housing units at an average density of 44.8 per square mile (17.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.98% White, 1.01% from other races, and 1.01% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.01% of the population.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
