Fosston is a city in Polk County, Minnesota, United States. It is part of the ‘Grand Forks-ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area’. The population was 1,527 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km), of which, 1.6 square miles (4.1 km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km) of it (1.22%) is water.
Four-lane U.S. Highway 2 serves as a main route in the city.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,575 people, 681 households, and 379 families residing in the city. The population density was 969.1 people per square mile (373.1/km²). There were 739 housing units at an average density of 454.7 per square mile (175.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.70% White, 0.19% African American, 1.52% Native American, 0.51% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races. Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Understand all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
