Emmonak (Imangaq in Central Yup’ik) is a city in Wade Hampton Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 767.
Emmonak is located at 62°46′38″N 164°32′42″W / 62.77722°N 164.545°W / 62.77722; -164.545 (62.777328, -164.544920).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.6 square miles (22 km), of which, 7.5 square miles (19 km) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km) of it (13.08%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 767 people, 189 households, and 150 families residing in the city. The population density was 102.2 people per square mile (39.4/km²). There were 218 housing units at an average density of 29.0 per square mile (11.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 5.61% White, 0.26% Black or African American, 91.26% Native American, 0.13% Asian, and 2.74% from two or more races. 1.04% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Emmonak skate park.
