Elmwood Place is a village in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,681 at the 2000 census. Except for a small portion which touches neighboring St. Bernard, Elmwood Place is completely surrounded by the city of Cincinnati.
Elmwood Place is located at 39°11′8″N 84°29′16″W / 39.18556°N 84.48778°W / 39.18556; -84.48778 (39.185608, -84.487842).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.78 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,681 people, 1,061 households, and 658 families residing in the village. The population density was 8,106.5 people per square mile (3,136.8/km²). There were 1,173 housing units at an average density of 3,546.8 per square mile (1,372.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 91.87% White, 5.45% African American, 0.56% Native American, 0.19% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.67% from other races, and 1.19% from two or more races. Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Elmwood Place skate park.
