East Helena is a town in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, about five miles east of downtown Helena. The population was 1,642 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Helena Micropolitan Statistical Area.
East Helena is located at 46°35′23″N 111°55′0″W / 46.58972°N 111.916667°W / 46.58972; -111.916667 (46.589856, -111.916798).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,642 people, 694 households, and 462 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,963.8 people per square mile (754.7/km²). There were 728 housing units at an average density of 870.7 per square mile (334.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 94.70% White, 0.18% African American, 3.11% Native American, 0.06% Asian, 0.55% from other races, and 1.40% from two or more races. Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

We will teach you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the East Helena skate park.
