Conover is a city in Catawba County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 8,110 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Conover is located in the center of Catawba County
Conover is located at 35°42′40″N 81°13′11″W / 35.71111°N 81.21972°W / 35.71111; -81.21972 (35.711232, -81.219608).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.845 square miles (28.09 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 8,110 people, 3,456 households, and 2,945 families residing in the city. The population density was 747.8 people per square mile (249.2/km²). There were 2,879 housing units at an average density of 281.3 per square mile (108.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 84.40% White, 8.43% African American, 0.23% Native American, 3.13% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 2.62% from other races, and 1.15% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.83% of the population….

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Learn all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
