OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

Evan K. from Littleton, Colorado!

Skilled in teaching basics of all skateboarding disciplines: Flatground, Transportation, Longboarding, skateboarding, Street, Transition, Vert, Freestyle, skatepark, trampoline boarding, balance boarding, fingerboard, skateboard videography and editing, and etiquette. I volunteer at my local Indoor skate ministry @Skatuary. I teach kids to skate, help coordinate events at the park, MC events, teach birthday party events, and teach Bible at our weekly study. I’ve skateboarded in almost every state in the USA, Jamaica, Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil, Egypt, Germany, Albania, Jordan, and Israel. Go Skate Certified. Evan is the leading instructor in Denver for Go Skate. He is sponsored by Untitled Skateboards. He teaches for Go Skate and Skate Church. He has over 12 years of skateboarding experience.

Robert L. from Denver, Colorado!

I have been skateboarding consistently for the last 16 years, and I have no intention of ever quitting… even if become one of the old shredders who stick to bowls and transitions. However, until then I will continue to skate street and work on getting very technical. I used to primarily hit handrails and large stair sets, and still do occasionally to ensure my skills are still on point, but now I mainly focus on making sure my current repertoire is consistent and always progressing. I like grinding on ledges, as well as working on combo tricks in and out of ledge grinds. I absolutely LOVE manuals -especially nose manuals- and thoroughly enjoy learning flip-in flip-out combos of manuals as well as incorporating pivots and such to make it much more technical and complicated. I have taught skateboarding through various community events put on by local skate shops, and have even set up community events when I was sponsored by local shops. Years ago I used to skate frequently with Bobby Worrest, which helped with progress much faster due to his incredible level of skateboarding. I have also gotten props from Andrew Reynolds and Braydon Szafranski during a sesh with them a couple of years back. I am always skating and would love to make some extra money by doing my all-time favorite thing. I have also worked with severely special needs children and low-income children with developmental disabilities, so I have various ways of teaching or promulgating the lesson since I am very aware that learning is subjective and is needed to be fluid to ensure better retention.

IMPROVE YOUR SKATEBOARDING IN A TWO WEEK-LONG CLASS

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Denver skate park is a 60,000 square feet park.  It’s a perfect place for teaching and great for enthusiasts of all skill levels and ages. The location is free but you have to bring your own gears as they do not have any areas where you can rent skateboards, helmets and other necessary equipment. The skate park is packed with different obstacles such as bowls, pipes, rails and a whole lot more. Thank you to the city council for honoring the needs of the skateboarders to have a free designated area for safer skateboarding.

Another nice place to visit is the Sheridan Skate Park. It is located within Sheridan High School. The size is adequate and can accommodate a decent number of skateboarders. They have bowls, rails, stairs, vert walls and more.

In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

    OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

    Jacob G. from Morrison, Colorado!

Jake has been skateboarding for 12 years and has been riding aboard since he could walk. Jake has experience with kids as an office assistant in schools. He also has experience with skaters of all levels and has been teaching and giving tips to other skaters since he started. With Jake, students can expect a relaxed session where they will learn at least one new thing about skateboarding, guaranteed. Even if you haven’t skated before Jake can teach you. It is Jake’s policy that “practice makes make perfect” and students can expect to learn a basis of skills before applying them at the park. Safety is also a big concern for Jake and parents can expect their child to be safe during the lesson. Jake will conduct safety checks on the board, and make sure they have all the correct gear on before the lesson begins to ensure a safe environment.

    Eric G. from Lafayette, Colorado!

Eric has always loved helping children and taking them under his wing ever since he was a little kid. Even for all of the years, Eric has been skating you would always find him helping the kids and growing with the community. He is kind, compassionate, caring, attentive, and adaptable. When challenged with failure, he would never give up. He took his defeats and made them a success. No matter how big or small he would show the world that he is winning. He would show everyone that it is okay to fail, that getting back up again is the strongest thing you can do, and the reward of self-appreciation is something you do not do just for yourself, but for the impact, it has on others and watching them succeed with you. He would be a great teacher because his reward is succeeding with you, his community.

    OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

    Damian D. from Aurora, Colorado!

I have been involved in the skateboard community for 17 years. I own a skateboard company (SpeakEasy Colorado -speakeasyskate.com) that focuses on documenting more than 160 Colorado skateparks and the locals that skate them. I primarily skate parks, but I began as a street skater. I work with kids every day and I regularly provide skateboards and advice to skaters of all ages. I have extensive knowledge of skateboard history, terms and vocabulary, skatepark etiquette, and molding children into model skaters. I have introduced my 8-year-old daughter to skating and thus have opened the door to help other girls in the skate community. I work closely with all the Denver Metro skate shops and have built a reputation as a positive skateboard advocate. I would love to continue to give back to the skateboard community and help guide the youth in a positive direction.

    Evan K. from Littleton, Colorado!

Denver Born/Raised. Positive Role-model. Great with all ages (Taught 48 years old – 3 years old.) A sponsored skater since 2005. Amateur Rider for Untitled Skateboards, 7Twenty Boardshop. Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

    OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

    Eric G. from Lafayette, Colorado!

    Jacob G. from Morrison, Colorado!
