Charlton is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 12,981 at the 2010 census.
Charlton was first settled in 1735. It was established as a District separated off from Oxford on January 10, 1755, and became a Town in 1775 by a law that made all Districts into Towns. It was named after Sir Francis Charlton. During the 1800s, farming continued to be the major occupation, but woolen mills were being built along some of the town’s brooks by the turn of the twentieth century.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 43.8 square miles (113 km), of which 42.5 square miles (110 km) is land and 1.2 square miles (3.1 km) (2.86%) is water.
The town is bordered on the west by Sturbridge; on the north by East Brookfield, Spencer and Leicester; on the east by Oxford; and on the south by Dudley and Southbridge.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Charlton skate park.
