The Consolidated Municipality of Carson City is the capital of the state of Nevada. The population was 55,274 at the 2010 census.
The first European Americans to arrive in what is known as Eagle Valley were John C. Fremont and his exploration party in January 1843. Fremont named the river flowing through the valley Carson River in honor of Christopher “Kit” Carson, the mountain man and scout he had hired for his expedition. Prior to the Fremont expedition, Washoe Indians inhabited the valley and surrounding areas. Settlers named the area Washoe in reference to the tribe.
By 1851 the Eagle Station ranch located along the Carson River served as a trading post and stopover for travelers on the California Trail’s Carson Branch which ran through Eagle Valley. The valley and trading post received their name from a bald eagle that was hunted and killed by one of the early settlers and was featured on a wall inside the post.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
