Carroll is a city in and the county seat of Carroll County, Iowa, United States, located along the Middle Raccoon River. The population was 10,103 in the 2010 census, a decline of 3 people from the 10,106 population in the 2000 census.
Carroll County is named in honor of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Maryland. He was the only Roman Catholic to sign the Declaration of Independence, and the longest living signatory.
In 1855 a county government was set up in the town of Carrollton. Three years later a courthouse was constructed at a cost of approximately $3,000. Construction was begun by Nelson Moore, but he died with only one floor completed. The second story was completed by L. J. Hampton.
In 1869 the centrally located railroad town of Carroll City was selected as the county seat, replacing, with some protest, Carrollton. Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Carroll skate park.
