Carnesville is a city in Franklin County, Georgia, United States. The population was 541 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Franklin County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Carnesville has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km), of which, 2.4 square miles (6.2 km) of it is land and 0.41% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 541 people, 197 households, and 131 families residing in the city. The population density was 221.7 people per square mile (85.6/km²). There were 222 housing units at an average density of 91.0 per square mile (35.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 73.01% White, 24.95% African American, 0.55% Asian, and 1.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.37% of the population.
There were 197 households out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.7% were married couples living together, 18.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.0% were non-families. 31…

A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
