Canutillo is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Paso County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,129 at the 2000 census. It is part of the El Paso Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Canutillo is located at 31°55′5″N 106°36′0″W / 31.91806°N 106.6°W / 31.91806; -106.6 (31.917982, -106.599903).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.0 square miles (7.8 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 5,129 people, 1,479 households, and 1,248 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,693.2 people per square mile (653.6/km²). There were 1,602 housing units at an average density of 528.9/sq mi (204.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.78% White, 0.60% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 4.46% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 89.88% of the population.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
