Burdett is a village in Schuyler County, New York, United States. The population was 357 at the 2000 census.
The Village of Burdett in within the Town of Hector, east of Seneca Lake and northeast of Watkins Glen, New York.
The village is the site of the first settlement in the Town of Hector, around 1790.
Burdett is located at 42°24′57″N 76°50′57″W / 42.41583°N 76.84917°W / 42.41583; -76.84917 (42.415960, -76.849250).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
New York State Route 79 and Logan Creek pass through the village. Burdett is in the Finger Lakes District.
As of the census of 2000, there were 357 people, 147 households, and 97 families residing in the village. The population density was 369.5 people per square mile (142.1/km²). There were 171 housing units at an average density of 177.0 per square mile (68.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.16% White, 0.28% African American and 0.56%…

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
