Boynton Beach is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 60,389 at the 2000 census. As of 2006, the city had a population of 66,714 according to the University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research. Boynton Beach is a principal city of the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a 2006 estimated population of 5,463,857. Despite the city’s name, it has no beachfront; rather, it is located across the Intracoastal Waterway from the oceanfront municipalities of Ocean Ridge and Briny Breezes.
In 1894, two years before Henry Morrison Flagler built his railroad, a former American Civil War major named Nathan Smith Boynton first set eyes on the area that now bears his name. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
