    Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

    The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

    I am extremely good with people. I also have great communication skills. I am 25 years of age and have been skateboarding since I was 8-9 years old. At the start of my 20s, I took a break from skateboarding only because I started a family with my firstborn son and then my youngest child, my daughter, only a year after my son. I stepped back on the board a little after a year that my daughter has been here with us. I skateboard every day and have always wanted to do something that gave back to the skateboarding community. Once at veterans park, I actually got confronted by a younger child who needed help with his ollies. I worked with him that afternoon and before leaving the park his mother actually thanked me and suggested I teach lessons for skateboarding. She said I handled the situation very well and she was very pleased to see a skater as generous.

    Hello! My name is Brendan and I am a skater From Millbrae California. I Practically grew up at Millbrae skatepark, and know everyone who comes through. I’ve been teaching kids the basics of skateboarding for two years. You may be asking why should you pick me. The first reason is I have been skating since I was a little kid and have been through the perils of learning the fundamentals of skateboarding. Now I’m an advanced skater who has mastered the fundamentals.
