Babson Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,182 at the 2000 census. It is also the home of Webber International University.
Babson Park is part of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Babson Park is located at 27°49′49″N 81°31′42″W / 27.830416°N 81.528250°W / 27.830416; -81.528250.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.9 km² (1.5 mi²), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,182 people, 367 households, and 277 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 306.3/km² (791.4/mi²). There were 442 housing units at an average density of 114.5/km² (295.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 77.92% White, 16.92% African American, 1.44% Asian, 2.88% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.11% of the population.

No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Babson Park skate park.
