Austell is a city in Cobb County in the U.S. state of Georgia. The population was 6,581 at the 2000 census.
Austell used to be known as Salt Springs, and was frequented by hunters who would trap and hunt game on their way to the salt licks. Some enterprising hunters claimed the areas waters had medicinal properties and it became a sort of mecca for the sick. Eventually, Mr. G. O. Mozely subdividided 40 acres (160,000 m) of his land and laid the town down in squares with streets 50 feet (15 m) wide. Not long after, Georgia Pacific, now a division of Southern Railway, chose austell to not only be the site of a station but to be the dividing point for two major lines that would converge there. The lines to Birmingham and Chattanooga.
In 2009, Sweetwater Creek flooded, destroying many homes and businesses in Austell.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
