Anamoose is a city in McHenry County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 227 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minot Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Anamoose was established along the main line of the Soo Line Railroad in 1898 by Romanians who had come from Saskatchewan, Canada. The name is a corruption of the Chippewa word uhnemoosh, which means “female dog.”
Anamoose is located at 47°52′52″N 100°14′31″W / 47.88111°N 100.24194°W / 47.88111; -100.24194 (47.881153, -100.241860).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km), of which, 0.6 square miles (1.6 km) of it is land and 1.59% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 282 people, 130 households, and 86 families residing in the city. The population density was 455.2 people per square mile (175.6/km²). There were 149 housing units at an average density of 240.5 per square mile (92.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.65% White, and 0.35%…

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Anamoose skate park.
