Robert L. from Denver, Colorado!

I have been skateboarding consistently for the last 16 years, and I have no intention of ever quitting… even if become one of the old shredders who stick to bowls and transitions. However, until then I will continue to skate street and work on getting very technical. I used to primarily hit handrails and large stair sets, and still do occasionally to ensure my skills are still on point, but now I mainly focus on making sure my current repertoire is consistent and always progressing. I like grinding on ledges, as well as working on combo tricks in and out of ledge grinds. I absolutely LOVE manuals -especially nose manuals- and thoroughly enjoy learning flip-in flip-out combos of manuals as well as incorporating pivots and such to make it much more technical and complicated. I have taught skateboarding through various community events put on by local skate shops, and have even set up community events when I was sponsored by local shops. Years ago I used to skate frequently with Bobby Worrest, which helped with progress much faster due to his incredible level of skateboarding. I have also gotten props from Andrew Reynolds and Braydon Szafranski during a sesh with them a couple of years back. I am always skating and would love to make some extra money by doing my all-time favorite thing. I have also worked with severely special needs children and low-income children with developmental disabilities, so I have various ways of teaching or promulgating the lesson since I am very aware that learning is subjective and is needed to be fluid to ensure better retention.

IMPROVE YOUR SKATEBOARDING IN A TWO WEEK-LONG CLASS

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
