Clay Gould grew up skateboarding in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has been skating for 11 years and teaching for 4 years. He loves the sport and loves to share his knowledge of skateboarding with others. He ran the Coastal Edge skateboarding camps at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront for 2 summers, which had a great outcome, teaching hundreds of kids ages 5-18, beginners and experienced skateboards, all they needed to know to either start skateboarding or progress through the sport the safest way! Any skatepark in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, or Chesapeake is available for Clay to conduct lessons, as well as your own driveway if that’s what you wish. Clay is very passionate about teaching kids how to skateboard, and is extremely positive, encouraging, and outgoing! Hopefully, Clay will be your choice when looking for a skateboarding instructor!

Improve Your Skateboarding in a Two Week-Long Course

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.

Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Evansville skate park.
