Las Cruces Skate Park

N Walnut St, Las Cruces, NM 88001

Located next to the Meerscheidt Recreation Center and the dog park, the Las Cruses Skatepark provides skaters in the Las Cruces area with a place to skate. The City of Las Cruces was one of the first cities in New Mexico to build a concrete park in the late 90’s.! Unfortunately, this park is plaque by design flaws and poor construction. The park resulted from years of rallying and donations totaling over $250,000.

The skatepark is clean, void of graffiti, and well-maintained.

On Jun 27, 2015, a skate jam kicked off at the park, bringing contests and festivities to the park. It ran nearly 11 hours until 11pm! It brought skaters from all over Las Cruces and out of town to connect, make some friends, and enjoy skateboarding.

Dora Ana County recently built a larger skatepark with almost 36,000 square feet of skate-able terrain.

The Las Cruces Skatepark remains a fixture in the local community.

I have been coming to Huntington Beach Skatepark since it was built, and it is so much better than the old skate park at the high school.

Gated, fee-based, guarded, not much space. Gets boring quick. This place isn't worth a trip unless you live in Santee.
