The Costa Mesa Skate Park, also known as the Volcom Skatepark, is a popular skate destination located in Costa Mesa, California. Open daily from 7:30 AM to 10 PM, this 24,000-square-foot skate park offers a diverse range of features across its expansive layout.
Built by the city in 2005 and originally sponsored by Volcom, the park is a thriving hub for skaters in the area. The design caters to various skill levels, featuring a kidney-shaped pool, a bowl, and an array of street elements like boxes, stairs, and rails. The park's unique elements and versatile layout attract skaters of different abilities.
The Vert Bowl stands out with its distinctive V configuration, accommodating classic maneuvers. The Large Bowl offers sections of 6, 8, and 9 feet, along with big corners and hips. The Mini Peanut, a garage-sized ramp, includes a section with a rounded lip. The smaller Peanut Bowl features a 4-5 ft. height with mellow transitions, a roll-in section, and multiple hips and corners. The Street Section boasts classic formations such as a euro-gap, a 5-stair, several rails, manny pads, banks, and unexpected challenges for riders.
