I’ve taught some locals at my park a few tricks. Mostly how to drop in ollie or kickflip. I have an old video of a tuck-knee trick tip but it isn’t as helpful as i’d like it too be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKG9Rz7Q2J4 |
I used to give skateboarding lessons in Butler Pennsylvania at a locally owned skatepark. Basically teaching kids how to drop in on quarterpipes/mini ramps how to fall foot positioning ollie manuals some grinds nothing much more advanced than that. I also worked for over a year as an academic arts facilitator in New Orleans running an after-school education program for disadvantaged youth. I was very succesful at this position and worked well as a teacher and mentor. I am positive this experience will help me greatly as a skateboarding instructor. In terms of lessons I can offer instruction in: terminology Dropping in on ramps switch and regular stance: ollies nollies kickflips heelflips manuals 180’s and 360’s. 50-50 5-o grind crooked grinds nose and tail slides boardslide frontside and backside flips shuvits varials bigspins 360 flips. And basically how to have fun and be safe riding a skateboard in any stance |
ive gave lessons but im great with kids an i know the basic stuff.
I have been working with my two young nephews teaching them how to skateboard. Some of the more advanced tricks I can do would be 360 flips doudle kickflips 180 flips
Nollie flips Nollie backside flips switch frontside flips half-cab heelflip fs boardslide
Lance has informally given lessons to younger kids in the past usually in the form of tips and other kinds of guidance. He can teach tricks like nollies switch 180s heelflip variations varials bigspins fakie flips nollie 180s and several lip tricks. He considers myself to be a very well-rounded skateboarder so he feels comfortable teaching almost any type of trick. |
Ive given skate lessons officially before but I have helped many people with the basic skills for skating. I do have 2 yrs experience as a snowboard instructor in durango co. where I used to teach kids 7-16 how to snowboard with little to no experience. I skate nearly every day and do really well in transition skating. I do not have alot of knowledge on flip tricks but can always learn I just prefer a bowl and old school style of skating but will adapt if needed. |
Taught my son how to skateboard. I have gained a couple pounds but I am able to teach safety and basic skills. Push off Ollie Kick flip pumping heel flip and street skating. Skated pools drop in and ramp and rails. I am 38 years old and skate regularly with my 16 year old son every weekend. I am 6ft 5in. and weigh about 230 lbs. Alot of old school tricks like Russian boneless pop shove its and that is about it. Half pipe and starting from the bottom of the ramp. I dont have a pic but I’ll get one to you. |
Ive given professional lessons before but when im out skating kids come up to me all the time asking if i can help them. I try and help every single one of them i actually enjoy helping other kids skate since im getting to old to skate like i used too. |
