Winslow is a small market town and also a civil parish designated as a town council within Aylesbury Vale district in north Buckinghamshire. It has a population of about 4500.
The town was first recorded in the charter by which King Offa granted it to St Albans Abbey in 792/3 as Wineshauue, which translated into modern English means Wine’s Mound. In the Domesday Book of 1086 it was recorded as Weneslai.
One of the finest buildings in Buckinghamshire is situated in this small town. Winslow Hall, which sits on the main road leading into the town from Aylesbury, is thought to have been designed by Sir Christopher Wren circa 1700, in his latter days twenty-five years after he designed St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The eleventh century parish church in High Street is dedicated to St Laurence, and is twinned with St Paul’s Church in Winslow, Arizona.
The church has a ring of 8 bells, the heaviest weighing 19 long cwt (970 kg).

A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
