Port Lavaca is a city in Calhoun County, Texas, United States. The population was 12,248 at the 2010 census. The County had a 3.6% growth which brought the county population to 21,381. The city itself is bringing in more business into the area. It is the county seat of Calhoun County. It is a part of the Victoria, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Port Lavaca is located at 28°36′56″N 96°37′47″W / 28.61556°N 96.62972°W / 28.61556; -96.62972 (28.615635, -96.629741). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 13.6 square miles (35 km), of which, 9.8 square miles (25 km) of it is land and 3.8 square miles (9.8 km) of it (28.23%) is water.
Port Lavaca holds the state record of the highest wind speed ever reached. During Hurricane Carla in September 1961, the winds were recorded to gust up to 170 mph.

Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Port Lavaca skate park.
