Minneola is a city in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,435 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 7,253. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Minneola tangelo is named after the city.
Minneola is located at 28°34′41″N 81°44′49″W / 28.578027°N 81.746885°W / 28.578027; -81.746885.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.71 sq. miles square miles (8.4 km²). 10.34 square miles (26.8 km) of it is land and 0.37 square miles (0.96 km) of it (5.26%) is water.
As of the census of 2009, there were 9,139 people, 1,929 households, and 1,516 families residing in the city. The population density was 883.51 people per sq. mile (685.8/km²). There were 2,032 housing units at an average density of 665.1 per square mile (256.4/km²). Learn Skateboarding in a Two Week-Long Lesson

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Minneola skate park.
