Erin is a Hiberno-English derivative of the Irish word “Éirinn”. (“Éirinn” is the dative case of the Irish word for Ireland – “Éire”, genitive “Éireann”).
Poets and nineteenth-century Irish nationalists used Erin in English as a romantic name for Ireland. In this context, along with Hibernia, Erin is the name given to the female personification of Ireland.
According to Irish mythology and folklore, the name was originally given to the island by the Milesians after the goddess Ériu.
Erin go bragh (“Éirinn go brách” in standard orthography), a slogan dating from the 1798 revolution, is often translated as “Ireland forever”. The etymology of the word as it drifted throughout the Gaelic region gave rise to its use by the early Scots to both mean Ireland and “west” – as Ireland lies to the west of Scotland.

In the ensuing years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Erin skate park.
