Hello, my name is Lucas, I’m a Brazilian professional skateboarder currently living in Chandler AZ. I used to do skate lessons at 91 West Skatepark in Peoria.

Cody W. from Des Moines, Iowa!

Cody is a 24-year-old skateboarder originally from Ararat, Virginia. He picked up his first board around 11 years old and hasn’t put it down since. The freedom and the endless hidden curriculums that Skateboarding has shown over the years keep him easily intrigued. For example, skateboarding has taught him to never give up and to always keep pushing no matter what the circumstance may be, and for that has always been open to teaching or bringing anyone that is interested into the Skateboarding community. Skateboarding has played a huge role in his life and he’s always excited to share the joy and knowledge that he’s gained over the many years on the board. He can’t wait to meet all the new faces and introduce them to the awesome and fun world of skateboarding.

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Learn all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How to Start:

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Des Moines skate park.
