I believe I could be good at instructing due to my past experiences with a skateboard. I’ve eaten slept and breathed skateboarding since I could remember. I was about 12 years old finding out what the world of skateboarding was all about. What was different, is that I was self-taught. Obviously influenced by people around me but I had nobody to “instruct” me. I feel I would take great pride in trying to teach younger kids how to get that feeling of euphoria and being free when you step on your skateboard. A feeling that has stayed with me until this very day and I thrive off it. Skateboarding is all about fun and if you progress along the way that is only a bonus!

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Be taught all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. No matter, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Ability: Beginner through Competition-Style Advanced.
How to Start:
Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Murrieta skate park.
