Irving TX SKATEBOARD LESSONS!

OUR SKATE INSTRUCTORS

Matt B. from Dallas, Texas!

Actually, my forte is teaching how to slide downhill. This is essential to learning how to safely stop at high speeds. I’ve organized three slide clinics in my neighborhood. I’ve gotten the homeowners association behind us to block the roads. The primary focus of these clinics is to teach safety to the local kids. I have taught numerous kids how to slide ranging from ages 7-47. The most advanced tricks I can teach are a Coleman 360 slide and a front-side hands-down manual slide.

Chris W. from Lewisville, Texas!

Chris is a Go Skate Certified Instructor. He is well-known throughout the Texas skateboard community. As a skate instructor and a father, Chris has gained a lot of experience teaching kids 13 and under. Chris is a former competing skateboarder in vert/halfpipe. Chris works in the financial/investment industry and loves teaching skateboarding as an extra job! He can frequently be found skating the bowls and ramps near Grapevine. Chris was one of the first instructors for GoSkate.com in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Area.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
