Skate Park Description:
I Can”T Believe That It Took So Long To Get A Public Park In A City As Big As Nyc. That”S Possibly Because The Whole City Is One Of The Best Street Spots In The World. But When You Get Tired Of Getting Booted Out Of Spots And Dodging Psycho Cab Drivers At The Cube, You Can Discover 108. That”S 108Th Street On The Westside Of Manhattan For You Out-Of-Towners. The Skate Park Sports A Semi-Vert Ramp (I Don”T Know How Big It Is Now But As You Can See The Last Time I Was There They Were Chopping A Foot Or Two Off The Top) A Nice Mini-Ramp With Some Extensions And Out-Stensions And A Spine And Str8 Bank Into The Minimalist Street Area. Riverside Is Another Park That I Think Could Make Better Use Of The Area Available. They Have Plenty Of Room Which Is Good Because You Have Plenty Of Time To Set Up, But I Get A Bit Bored Of The Spot Aft.Er A Small Amount Hours. There”S Not Too Many Options. But Hey, You Want Street? Then Hit Midtown! There”S Plenty Of Ledges Out There For The Taking. Riverside Costs $3 I Think And You Have To Wear A Hell-Mutt. Also Make Note That The Skate Park Is On A Seasonal Basis So Call Someone Somewhere To Find Out If It”S Open Before Heading Up There. * How Crowded? 5
* Are Pads Required To Skate?: Full Pads
* Does It Cost Money To Skate?: Yes
