Mullaly Skate Park, situated in Mullaly Park at East 164th Street and Jerome & River Avenues, near the Mullaly community center. Opening in 1988 as the first skate park of its kind in New York City, Mullaly provides a safe haven for skateboarders, BMXers, and rollerbladers. The park features amenities such as a spine, hubba, roll-in, jump box, quarterpipe, funbox, handrail, bank, wallride, mini-ramp, and lights.
Popular among young skaters and cyclists, the park is supervised by the Department of Parks and Recreation. During official operating hours, there is an attendant, so participants are required to sign a waiver and use safety gear, including helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads.
Operating from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on weekdays and 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on weekends, Mullaly Skate Park is free and welcomes skateboarders of all ages and skill levels to practice and showcase their tricks.
